If the core idea of feminism is the empowerment of women, then why has Hillary Clinton aided and abetted a misogynist for over 2 decades?  Why has she sat idly by while her husband was exposed as a womanizer time and time again?

Like many feminist activists, Hillary only applies her feminist philosophy when it's convenient.  In cases where her husband's misdeeds threatened her position as co-President, she has ardently protected him.  Once or twice would have been fine. But after Gennifer Flowers, Paula Jones, Kathleen Willey, Juanita Broadderick, and of course, Monica Lewinsky, it's clear that a pattern has developed.

How can a true feminist support this man?   The names mentioned above are just the ones that have become public. How many more are there?  And why does Hillary turn the other cheek?  As a feminist she should be outraged, and as a spouse, she should be exasperated.

As recently as 1997, Hillary has blamed the reports of Bill's escapades on a "vast, right-wing conspiracy."  Those are not the words of a woman who earnestly believes her husband's innocence. They are the words of someone trying to deflect the attention from her corrupt marriage.  Hillary could not have possibly believed that the Lewinsky scandal was a "right-wing conspiracy.  " Not after so many previous such occurrences  (Flowers, Jones, etc.).

Hypocrisy and dishonesty -- a winning combination for Hillary Rodham Clinton.   Anything for power, right?
