Al Gore flip-flops (Lies)

Al Gore will Lie and say anything for votes !

Add Elian to Gore's Shameless Flip-Flops, U-Turns, Kowtows, Grovels & Crawls He'll Do or Say Anything to Ingratiate Himself With Voters, Says RNC Chair WASHINGTON, April 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Ever since his arrival here on Thanksgiving day, 6-year-old Elian Gonzalez has been a symbolic figure for the Cuban-American expatriate community in south Florida, a source of inspiration for all of us whose ancestors reached these teeming shores, tempest-tossed, in search of freedom.   Now, he's become something else: "The latest example in a long line of shameless Al Gore flip-flops, U-turns, kowtows, grovels and crawls that prove our Vice President is willing to do or say anything to ingratiate himself with voters," says RNC Chairman Jim Nicholson.

"Al Gore cares less about Elian Gonzalez than he does about Florida's 25 electoral votes, and the Cuban-American community in south Florida isn't fooled by Al Gore's last-minute conversion.  We've seen too many examples of Al Gore's shameless flip-flops and U-turns, and we know he'll say or do anything to pander to voters to get ahead."

In case voters might have forgotten, Nicholson reminded them of "just some of Gore's better whoppers":

* Kowtowing to seniors -- then taxing their Social Security benefits. On February 21, 1980, Al Gore told seniors it would be "unforgivable,"

"inconceivable" and "unfair" to tax Social Security benefits -- but he cast the deciding vote to do just that, with a $25 billion tax hike!

* The Gore Gun Backfire. From 1985 to 1990, Gore voted with the National Rifle Association 75% of the time, according to a 1985-1992 NRA Key Vote Analysis; yet on July 16, he accused his Presidential opponents of "doing the bidding of the NRA."

* The "Once-Pro-Life" Al Gore. Back in 1984, Gore wrote that "It is my deep personal conviction that abortion is wrong" and that "It is wrong to spend federal funds for what is arguably the taking of a human life." In his debate on January 26, Gore claims, "I have always supported a woman's right to choose."

Algore's participation in the Clinton scandals

Despite Algore's kiss of Tipper, and his selection of Joe Lieberman,  Algore is inextricably tied to some of the Clinton scandals, because he was a willing participant in them.

Algore broke the law, along with Clinton, in the fundrasing scandals. Algore lied about it, along with Clinton, in a deposition. Algore, like Clinton, then gave carefully worded denials. Algore, like Clinton, has trouble telling the truth. Algore let a woman go to jail, so that he could stay in office; Clinton let the country go through Hell, so that he could stay in office. Algore, like Clinton, puts his own goals and desires above the interest of the country.

Devastating Blows Never Thrown

Tim Russert: "First, your fundraiser Maria Hsia is convicted on five counts of campaign-finance violations. Then, the Los Angeles Times reported that former Justice Department investigator Charles LaBella said Janet Reno's Justice Department used a double standard in failing to appoint an independent counsel to investigate you. Now, a new congressional inquiry has exposed that all your incoming and outgoing e-mail was hidden from subpoenas.  Isn't this a devastating array of ethical blows?"  Al Gore: "Not if Tom Brokaw keeps failing to report on any of it." -- Exchange on NBC's Meet the Press, April 1.
